Panasonic, the giant Japanese based electronics manufacturer and marketer has launched an LED lightbulb, for the US market at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The bulb, which was first launched in Japan in september, is known as the EverLed, requires no change of lighting equipment, fitting in standard screw in fixtures for incandescent light build.
Consumers will be able to swap out a 60watt traditional bulb with a 6.9 watt “bulb” with several LEDs. Panasonic has branded the bulb, which are expected to last 19 years, as the “EverLed” and they currently sell for approximately $40 USD. The bulb can be expected to save 8200 kwh or about over $500 of electricity at 7 cents per/kwh.

My interest are in the color of this EverLed lights. By the film, they ascertained to come in yellow or blue Patrick White lights. Are we getting back to the daytimes of “warm-white” and “cool-white” lights. This would appear to be a footfall back at present that almost fluoro electron tube lights and CFLs are now tri-fluorescent 6400K ‘natural white light’.
